Laurel Christian Preschool

We are located at 162 W. Laurel Rd., Bellingham 98226 - 360.398.1761

Laurel Community Christian Preschool Preparing the way for the fullest potential in Christ! for Children 3 1/2 - 5 years old.

Our Goal:

We at Laurel Community Christian Preschool wish to create a positive and loving Christ-centered environment that helps children to grow spiritually, mentally, physically and socially, so they have a solid grounding and preparation for success both in Kindergarten and their fullest potential in the future.

“We celebrate, not accelerate childhood”

  • Spiritually - Every child knows God’s love and that they are His unique creation.
  • Mentally - Every child is respected as a lifelong learner with individual needs.
  • Physically -Every child is engaged in age appropriate large and small motor activities.
  • Socially - Every child is able to positively mix, play and enjoy the company of other children and adults.

“But Jesus called the children to him and said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.’” -  Luke 8:16

Laurel Community Christian Preschool is a ministry of Laurel Community Baptist Church and reflects the Christian values and beliefs of the Church.

Our teachers

  • Jessica Rowley

    Head Teacher

Teacher Jessica Rowley has been working with kids for 13 years. She has worked with students in preschool through high school. Teaching is something Jessica has always had a passion for and knew that she wanted to pursue as a career. Jessica lives in Lynden with her husband TJ, her daughter Olivia (7) and her son Landon (6). She loves to invest in the Laurel community and also spends time volunteering at Irene Reither Elementary School and coaching her daughters’ soccer team. Whatever extra time she does have left over is spent reading, sewing, or crafting. Her favorite part about teaching is when children problem solve on their own and realize they are capable of so much more, they beam with pride and the confidence they gain is amazing!

  • Betsy Thompson

Assistant preschool teacher Betsy has been working with children for over 30 years, as a Girl Scout leader, a vacation bible school instructor, and a preschool teacher. Her favorite part of working with the Laurel preschoolers is seeing the look of excitement on their faces when they discover something new, like writing their names. “I feel blessed to be able to spend every day playing with the kids and sharing with them the word of God!”
